Eastbourne, please open ice cream huts next summer

I take my mother, who is on a wheelchair, for a walk on the seafront on sunny days to have a cup of tea or an ice cream.

Nevertheless, my mother was disappointed to find the ice cream huts on the upper promenade constantly shut over the summer.

She always enjoys having a chat with the young girls who work there.

I understand it was a different summer with the virus around, but we had such a fabulous and hot summer, it is hard to understand why the huts were not open.

I had to leave mother on her own and go down the beach to get her an ice cream and have to queue for a long time, to receive an appalling service.

We are really hoping that the little huts will be open again on sunny days next year to bring life to the seafront.
