Big thank you to staff at Eastbourne coffee shop

I would like to say thank you to Violetta in Costa’s in Terminus Road Eastbourne.

My niece took me there as being the nearest place to wash my hand after being bitten by a dog tethered in Terminus Road (my fault, not the animal’s).

Violetta cleansed the wound, applied antiseptic and plaster and allowed me to sit quietly while my niece arranged for my husband to collect me.

At the station we discovered the drop-in medical centre no longer performs this essential service.

We have needed the drop-in centre for an emergency in the past, to consider closing it is ludicrous.

At the A&E department of the DGH I was seen quickly, Violetta’s first aid was praised, and I was home in no time.
