LETTER: Who dumped charity bags?

Further to my letter of January 8 regarding litter on the Downs, I write to inform you of a shocking discovery. On Monday, January 11, while walking my dog at Horseshoe Plantation, I spotted a large pile of Shelter charity bags. They had clearly been discarded unused and had been there some time, partially covered by earth and leaves. Bagging them up I did a rough count. I estimate 200, too heavy to carry to the car. I fetched my vehicle and loaded them into my boot. I have a message for the charlatan masquerading as a charity worker. Stop.
