LETTER: Suffering after badge refusal

Having had a blue badge since the days when I was in a wheelchair (12 years ago) I have recently been refused one by '˜The Powers That Be'.

I am now having to park far from where I need to be and wonder how many others are suffering the same. I always try to make light of how difficult moving is for me and I realise I was at fault to say I swim regularly, but forgot to say I have to use my own peculiar strokes as I cannot swim properly now. I would just like to know how many others are suffering like me?

Surely I haven’t really got to wait to apply again in a year?
