LETTER: Lives being made a misery

It's nice to see the council have not given up making the lives a misery for the residents of Hampden Park and are on track to completing their objective with the building and new road layout at the new Aldi. I sometimes wonder that if the powers to be on the council clubbed together and purchased a brain cell from Bupa we might have had a decent road system long ago but then I would not have had the pleasure of admiring the boarded up shops along Brassey Parade and, if I caught the gates at the right time, I have time to get out of my car and compare the prices of Charlie Chans and the Lantern Chinese takeaway menus before the gates opened again. No doubt, when the work is complete, I might even have time to place an order. So, a bit of a plus, give yourselves a pat on the back and let us see how we progress over next 10 years.
