LETTER: Hard to sleep in spooky silence

A very spooky hush has fallen over Old Town – there is a sudden absence of seagulls.

I have been assured by Eastbourne council that there has not been a cull so I wondered if anyone had an explanation.

I feel a lack of seagulls in a seaside town warrants a reduction in my council tax!

I hope they return soon as it is hard to sleep without their reassuring cries. Very creepy!
