LETTER: Going from bad to verse ...

Last Friday afternoon, we had a plumbing crisis. It was dealt with it so quickly that my wife was moved to verse. She titled it '˜Brownie Points for Plumber M'.

It’s Friday late at 5.15,

A big wet patch is suddenly seen.

Radiator tap is pouring away,

The carpet is soggy. Oh woe and dismay!

All the plumbers must have long gone home,

But suddenly Kirsty answered the phone.

In no time at all, the leak Matt did mend.

How’s that for good service, relief at weekend.

Thank you Mark Bishop for saving the day.

You’ve a wonderful team. Hip, hip hooray!
