LETTER: Disabled loos shortcomings

Your article regarding the importance of public toilets [Disability Today, March 18] prompts a reply to your paper. Every toilet for the disabled I have used is much too low, obviously designed by a member of the male population. A rail is also needed to be placed around the seat to help users to their feet.

It may amuse some simple-minded people, but recently I couldn’t get to my feet and had to call for help.
