LETTER: Air quality set to get worse

Air quality in Eastbourne is known to be poor, and to those of us who drive in and around the town the reason is painfully obvious.

Traffic congestion throughout Eastbourne is now severe and is set to get worse as the thousands of houses scheduled to be built in Wealden are completed.

Without improvements to the infrastructure Eastbourne does not have the ability to cope with present traffic levels let alone any increase, and there will be additional strain on the DGH and other public services, and air quality will get worse.
