It has been with great pleasure reading and seeing the photographs of all our lovely hospitals we used to have in Eastbourne.

It also brought back many memories. My three daughters were born in 9 Upperton and my mother was in Downside, and unfortunately died in All Saints.

How lovely the nurses looked in their uniforms, at least you knew who was a nurse in those days, and in all the wards you could eat your dinner off the floor, they shone so brightly.

Eastbourne is not what it was in many ways, unfortunately.
