THE COMMUNITY WISE Centre: in Ocklynge Road has many activities coming up that you are welcome to attend. On Saturday April 23, from 10-12 noon a Jumble Sale takes place, to raise money to help Calais refugees. The Village Market at The Community Wise Centre, Ocklynge Road takes place on Saturday April 30 from 10am-12.30pm. Once there you will find so many local, fresh and organic goods and foods – homemade cakes, pies, scones, jams and produce, locally produced bread, free range eggs, fresh olive oil direct from Greece, local honey, home-made curries ... the list goes on. Lovely local crafts also on sale make ideal gifts. Entry is free and refreshments are on sale all morning – a buttered scone and cup of tea or coffee costs only £1.20! Every Friday from 11-1.30 pm ‘Gather’ pop up cafe and simple soup lunch runs at Community Wise in Ocklynge Road. Open to all who live alone. Free entry, small charge for refreshments.
