Polegate and Seaford MP Norman Baker has been named one of the worst dressed men in Britain.
Well-known for his bright yellow and orange ties, Mr Baker was named the eighth worst dressed man in Britain, by men’s magazine GQ.
It announced the best and worst dressed men of 2015 on its website yesterday.
The magazine said, “The Lib Dem MP for Lewes recently fell out with his coalition boss at the Home Office, Theresa May. Has she had words to tell him his dress is rather more Merkel than May?”
Other ‘worst dressed men’ included TV doctor Christian Jessen, former Conservative minister Michael Portillo, and fashion designer Ozwald Boateng.
But this gave him some comfort, as he said, “Given that I’m on the same list as Ozwald Boateng, and the opposite list to Noel Fielding, has GQ got the best and worst lists the wrong way round?!”
Making it into the top 50 in the best dressed list was actor Eddie Redmayne who took the top spot, as well as Prince Charles and Elton John.
The article featuring Mr Baker, is in GQ’s February edition, which is out in shops now.
