NOMINATIONS are being sought for this year’s Seaford Young Mayors Awards.
There is a host of categories to choose from including Young Performer, Sport, Bravery and Youth Group.
The event, which is being hosted by Young Mayor Maddie Jay and her deputy Amy Gough, has received sponsorship from the Keith Baker Charitable Trust.
The Young Mayors scheme was initiated in Seaford in 2008 to encourage young people to become more involved in their local town, to understand the issues Seaford is facing and to help councillors and others deal with them.
The Seaford Young Mayors Awards are open to anyone born on or after the March 21, 1994 and living in a BN25 postcode.
There is also a category to recognise adults who support youth in Seaford and one outstanding young person will be selected for the Young Mayors Award for 2012. Nomination forms are available from the Tourist Information Office at 37 Church Street or from local schools.
