Do you have a favourite salon in Eastbourne?

Nominate it for the Eastbourne Herald’s Salon of the Year competition. We’ll accept nominations for any local salon or barbers offering hair and/or beauty treatments (independent businesses or franchises).

To nominate your favourite salon for an award, send us a text or email.

The salons with the most nominations will be added to a final shortlist. Readers will then be invited to vote for a winner.

The winning salon will be crowned the Eastbourne Herald Salon of the Year 2014.

Nominations need to be submitted by 9am on Monday May 26.


To text, start your text with the words EBH (space) SALON followed by another space, then the name and address of your favourite salon. Follow this with your name, your address (including postcode) and your email address. Text messages cost 50p plus your standard network rate and should contain fewer than 160 characters.

Please note: you will receive a reply-message to confirm receipt of your nomination.

Your text message must follow the exact format stated, otherwise your nomination may not be counted but you may still be charged. If you text after the stated closing date your nomination will not be counted but you may still be charged.


Email the name and address of your favourite salon to before 9am on Monday, May 26, 2014. Please include your own name, address, and phone number.

You must write “EBH Salon Nomination 2014” in your email’s subject line.
