St Wilfrid’s Hospice is unveiling a new look to its Langney Road shop on Friday (August 2).

Staff and volunteers at the charity shop will be unveiling a fresh new look for their store and celebrating with tea and cakes.

The revamped shop has had a complete makeover in a bid to attract more shoppers.

The store has a unique bazaar-feel with vibrant coloured walls and specially selected items.

The shop is focussing on the vintage trend with clothing, antique furniture, pre-loved linens, bric-a-brac and an assortment of brand new handbags and accessories.

Vita Buchanan, store manager, has recently transformed the Uckfield store into a vintage inspired space resulting in an increase in sales and has similar aspirations for the Langney Road outlet.

She said, “All our stores are absolutely essential in raising the funds needed to keep the hospice running.

“It is therefore so important that the look of the store and goods appeal to customers.

“I am so pleased with the new look and feel we have created in Langney Road and hope you will all come down and support us at the grand opening.”

It is hoped the new-look shop will give a much-needed boost for funding for the new hospice which is currently being built of Cross Levels Way.

The revamped Langney Road shop will be officially opened by Kara Bishop, the hospice’s chief executive, at 10am on Friday (August 2).
