Mum holding her children was victim of hit and run in Willingdon

A 35-year-old mum who was taking her children out of her car was left with leg injuries after a car hit her and then drove off.

The incident took place in Coppice Avenue, near the junction of Southdown Avenue in Lower Willingdon, on February 1.

She was taking her youngsters out of her black Nissan Qashqai at about 5.30pm when a small silver car collided with the door of her vehicle. She believes the registration number started with GK04.

PC Kevin Tyler said, “The woman suffered bruising to her leg and was left in shock. Her car door has also been damaged.

“Please get in touch if you have any information which could help us identify the driver of the silver car.”
