The fundraisers will be walking from midnight to 6am between Seaford and Eastbourne on July 18 to 19.

The memorable and challenging event takes in some of the most beautiful coastline in Sussex, including Seven Sisters and Beachy Head. The walk will end at Eastbourne Pier.

The fundraiser will celebrate the Summer Solstice and organisers are calling on local residents to take part in the adventure and help raise money for a great cause!

All funds donated through this page will go to A Band of Brothers Eastbourne community.

A spokesperson from the charity said, “We are a group of men who provide mentoring support to young men in Eastbourne, many of whom are involved with the criminal justice system.”

The charity has a number of success stories in Eastbourne about men who have managed to turn their lives around.

The cost of taking one young man through the mentoring cycle is £2,000.

This is the first time A Band of Brothers has organised the midsummer night walk but they are hoping they will be able to raise enough money to cover the cost of seeing five young men through the programme –£10,000.

All are welcome to take part. Registration will be £25 to include a t-shirt, refreshments and other goodies.

It is hoped that participants will set up a fundraising page and will have a few months to raise as much sponsorship as possible before the event. All of the money raised will go towards the work of the charity.
