Meet Santa live on stage in Eastbourne

The search is on to find Santa’s little helpers to meet Father Christmas live on stage in Eastbourne next month.

Miracle on 34th Street, a professional stage production based on one of popular and much loved Christmas film, is on at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre in December and theatre bosses are looking for children to feature in one of the scenes on opening night.

Darren Weir at the theatre said, “Is your child an aspiring performer who would relish the opportunity to participate in a professional stage production?

“Miracle on 34th Street is coming to the RHT from December 9-12 and we are looking for Santa’s little helpers to feature in one of the scenes on opening night.

“The winners will also receive a family ticket to see the magical moment their little one meets Santa live on stage.

“To apply, children should write a short letter addressed to Santa Claus telling him why they would like to meet him.

“All entries should be emailed to darren@royalhippodrome.com by Monday November 23.”

Children must be available for the opening night performance on December 9, will need to be available an hour before the performance time and all children chosen will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times

Every child taking part will receive a family ticket for four to the performance.

All children should be between five and 10 years old and under 4ft 9” in height as costumes will be provided by the production company.

A photo must be attached to the application. All entries must include the child’s full name, date of birth, address and emergency contact details.
