Meads Magic returns this year.
Now in its fourth year, the festive event on November 27 from 2.30pm to 7.30pm, promises to get the festive celebrations off to a flying start.
A traditional festive street market runs the length of Meads Street offering seasonal goodies to fill those stockings or just satisfy indulgence.
The stalls include art and crafts, along with some fabulous culinary delights.
The local shops will be running competitions and special promotions and offering late night opening during the event.
Meads Magic will welcome the horse drawn dray from Harvey’s Brewery with Monty and Winston the Shire horses making their grand arrival in the High Street with Father Christmas at 4.15pm, delivering him to his grotto.
This will be followed by live entertainment from local school choirs, a children’s magic show, the elves’ pottery workshop, gingerbread decorating and much more.
This year members of the Royal Hippodrome Theatre Company’s Christmas Variety Show will be singing in the street to set the festive scene and help to make the magic really come alive.
Hot food will be available from local eateries alongside street food within the market.
The live music stage will come alive to popular musical combo, The Dirty Martini Swing Band from 5.45pm.
Eastbourne Mencap is this year’s chosen charity.
