POLICE believe a wanted man may be in Eastbourne.
Craig James Hayler was jailed for six months for burglaries in Cyprus and repatriated to the UK to serve his sentence.
But after being released, police say the 28-year-old has failed to comply with his licence conditions, set down by the Probation Service.
Officers believe he could be staying at various bed and breakfasts in seaside towns including Eastbourne and Hastings.
Hayler is about 5’ 10” tall and of slim build. He has brown eyes and short brown hair.
PC Dan Cloake said, “He is not believed to be a danger to the public but anyone who has seen him recently, or has any information about his whereabouts, should contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 0167 of 03/07. You can also call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 1111.”
Hayler, who is not local to Sussex, was sentenced to six months imprisonment in Cyprus for burglaries there in 2012. He was repatriated to the UK to serve his sentence and was being supervised by the Probation Service in Southampton after his release on licence, but failed to keep appointments.
