Man robbed in Eastbourne street


A 22-year-old man suffered cuts to his face when he was slammed into a wall and and robbed in a Meads street.

The victim was walking along Carlisle Road at about 11.30pm on Saturday night (August 23) when he was approached by two men who threatened him and demanded his wallet and mobile phone.

One suspect was a white man in his 20s, about 6’, of stocky build and clean shaven. He was wearing a plain grey, zipless hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms with white stripes on the legs.

The second suspect was also white and in his 20s, 5’9”, stockier than his companion and with stubble on his chin. He was wearing a white hooded top emblazoned with the Lonsdale logo across the chest in black lettering, and blue jeans.
