Acid was thrown in a man’s face as he was flagged down by a pedestrian when he was driving down Langney Road.
Sussex Police released information about the attack on Friday, one month after it happened.
A driver was stopped by a pedestrian, who then threw a cup of ‘corrosive liquid’ over him at around 11pm on Tuesday, January 20, on Langney Road, close to Bonner’s Music store.
The victim was flagged down by a pedestrian who, after an exchange of words threw a cup of liquid over the victim before running off.
The victim suffered minor injuries from the liquid, believed to be something corrosive, and was forced to seek medical attention.
The attacker is described as being a white male, 20 to 25 years of age, with a stocky build and between 5’ 8” and 6’ tall.
He was wearing a dark coloured bandana style hat and dark coloured jacket.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Langney Road at the time, especially two men who were seen standing on the pavement close by.
