A 25-year-old man died after falling from Seaford cliffs.

Simonas Visockis took his own life, an inquest at Eastbourne Town Hall heard on Thursday (October 22).

The inquest heard he was seen by the edge of the cliff on May 28 this year by a green keeper from the Seaford golf club.

A factory worker, Mr Visockis was originally from Lithuania, but lived in King’s Lynn in Norfolk.

The inquest was told in a statement from his housemate and friend, Rasa Zepciukiene, that he never complained of mental health problems, and stayed active by going to the gym regularly.

Although police attended the scene and spoke to Mr Visockis on the afternoon of his death, his body was recovered by the coastguard an hour later.

East Sussex coroner Alan Craze concluded he had taken his own life.
