Man charged with drink driving after van flips on A259

A man has been charged with drink driving after a van flipped on the A259 at Exceat last night (September 10).

Emergency services were called to the scene just west of Exceat Bridge at about 7.20pm.

The ambulance service said no one required further hospital treatment.

Sussex Police say Jack Drury, a plasterer, of Hawkhurst Way, Bexhill, was arrested and charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

The 23-year-old has been released on bail to appear before Hastings Magistrates’ Court on November 25.

Anybody who saw what happened is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1245 of 10/09.
