Man attacked on Hampden Park street

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a 55-year-old man who was attacked in Brodrick Rroad, Hampden Park, on Monday, (September 7).

The victim was walking to catch a bus just before 6pm when the assault took place.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, 5’ 4”, of large build and with a black beard and straight black hair.

He was wearing a red-and-black hooded top, shorts and boots. He is thought to have a Liverpool accent.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to email or phone 101, quoting serial 1192 of 07/09.

Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
