Man appears in court accused of murdering Eastbourne woman

The trial of a man accused of murdering a 40-year-old Eastbourne woman began today.

Wayne Marshall, 38, of no fixed address, denies killing Tracy Patsalides.

Marshall also denies robbing Graham Scott of a wallet, portable gas cooker and tablets.

Marshall appeared in the dock at Lewes Crown Court this morning, when jurors for his case were selected.

However the trial is not expected to start until tomorrow, at the same court.

Jurors were selected today at Lewes Crown Court before Mr Justice Christoper Butcher.

The trial is expected to begin in earnest tomorrow, when prosecutor Philip Bennetts will open the case.

The case will likely last up to three weeks. The trial continues.
