Police investigating the death of Lee Molineau in Eastbourne have charged a man and a second woman with murder.
Lee Molineau, 46, of no fixed address, died at Hurstwood Park neurological unit in Haywards Heath on Wednesday 31 July after being assaulted seven days earlier.
He had suffered a serious head injury following an argument between him and two women in Seaside Road, Eastbourne, during which a man intervened and punched the victim to the ground.
A 25-year-old man arrested as part of a police operation in Pevensey Road, Eastbourne, shortly after 2pm on Thursday, August 8 has been charged with murder. Rossi Henderson, of no fixed address, was due to ppear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court this morning, Saturday, August 10.
Ruby Heard, 25, of Lexden Drive, Seaford, had previously been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. She has now been charged with murder and will appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 12.
A total of three people have now been charged with the murder of Mr Molineau.
Hayley Whittaker, 22, of Honeycrag Lane, Polegate, has previously been charged with murder. She will appear at Lewes Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on October 16.
