November 8:

Stuart Brench, 47, of Saffrons Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to disclosing a private sexual photo or film without the consent of the person who appeared in it, with the intention of causing that person distress. The offence took place at Eastbourne on October 16. He also admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence, made by an earlier court, for an offence of assaulting a woman by beating her. The court fined him £250 and ordered him to pay £50 compensation. Magistrates also issued a restraining order.

Sophie Furlong, 20, of Pierpoint Mews, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Nissan Micra car on Station Road, Berwick, on July 29 with cannabis in her blood stream. She was fined £180 and banned from driving for one year.

Michael Haffenden, 56, of Brydges Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Eastbourne District General Hospital on October 18. He was fined £67 and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

Damian Houghton, 40, of Bramber Close, Tadworth, Surrey, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988. The offence took place at Eastbourne on October 21. The court made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for three years.

Amy Jackson , 21, of Sutherland Grove, Wandsworth, London, pleaded guilty to two charges of assaulting a man by beating. The offences took place on Eastbourne Pier on October 18. She also admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence, made by magistrates in November last year for two offences of assault by beating. The court made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered her to pay £50 compensation to each of the victims. She was fined £20 for the breach.

Aimee Jenkinson, 20, of Wannock Avenue, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Renault vehicle on Willingdon Road, on July 27, without due care and attention. She was fined £213 and her driving record endorsed with five penalty points.

Donna Hearne, 41, of Allfrey Road, Eastbourne, was found guilty of using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Eastbourne on July 17. The verdict was proved in her absence. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £150 in prosecutions costs.

November 14:

Lawrence Raj, 34, of Oulton Close, Eastbourne, was found guilty of assault by beating the offence took place at Grand parade, Eastbourne on February 10. The court made a community order with a requirement of 150 hours of unpaid work. Magistrates also issued a restraining order and ordered him to pay £200 compensation and £640 in prosecution costs.

November 16:

Nathan Davies, 36, of Beltring Terrace, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing goods worth £58.50 from Tesco at Hailsham on August 31. He pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody at Hastings Magistrates Court on September 20 and admitted being in breach of a community order imposed by an earlier court for an offence of stealing items worth £145.20 from Sainsburys at Eastbourne on July 27. He pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of vodka, worth £36, from Tesco at Lewes on October 17 and to stealing three bottles of whisky, worth £73, from Tesco at Eastbourne, on October 5. He pleaded guilty to stealing a hair remover, worth £149.99 from Boots at Eastbourne on October 13 and to stealing three bottles of wine, worth £105.08, from Harveys at Lewes, on October 14. He was sentenced to a total of 22 weeks in prison. Magistrates said the reason for the custodial sentence was because of prolific offending.
