November 7:

David Rhodes, 47, of Arrow Drive, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to damaging a wooden staircase spindle and a chest of drawers. The offence took place at Eastbourne on October 18. He was fined £233.

Stephen Prescott, 33, of Sydney Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman. The offence took place at Eastbourne, on October 23. He also pleaded guilty to damaging windows at a property in Eastbourne on the same date. The court made a community order with a requirement of 120 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to pay £400 in compensation.

Ellis Robertson. 21, of Foxglove Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Astra on Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, on October 20, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 67 micrograms. 
The legal limit is 35 micrograms. 
He was fined £200 and banned from driving for 17 months.

Dean Whitmore, 37, of Marine Parade, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to entering Harry Ramsdens restaurant, in Terminus Road, Eastbourne, as a trespasser, on October 21 and stealing Nat West paying in books and a tin of unknown value. He was fined £80.

Martin Brooker, 55, of Northbourne Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Mercedes vehicle on Northbourne Road, on October 7, while over the drink-drive limit. 
He gave a breath alcohol reading of 61 micrograms. 
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He also pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and failing to stop when directed by a police officer on the same date. 
He was fined £370 and banned from driving for 18 months. He was fined £247 for the driving without due care and attention offence.

Robin Nicholas, 45, of Winchcombe Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to receiving stolen bank cards on January 4. 
He also indicated pleas of guilty to seven charges of fraud in dishonestly using a Barclay Visa card to obtain cash and goods at Eastbourne on the same date. 
He pleaded to stealing food and alcoholic drinks, worth £309, from Asda at the Crumbles, Eastbourne, on January 6. 
The court made a community order with a requirement of 40 hours of unpaid work.

Jordao Santana, 45, of Enys Road, Eastbourne, indicated pleas of guilty to charges of being in possession of heroin and cocaine. 
The offences took place at Eastbourne, on March 26. 
He also admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence, made by Lewes Crown Court, on for being in possession of a knife. 
He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on December 5.

Gareth Thomas, 29, of The Meadows, St Leonards, indicated a plea of guilty to being in breach of a restraining order by making calls. 
The offence took place at Polegate on October 5. He was fined £120.

November 12:

A 15 year old boy from Eastbourne, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault. 
The offences took place at Terminus Road, Eastbourne, on October 24 and at Eastbourne train station on July 13. 
He was referred to the East Sussex Youth Offenders panel for a six month contract.

Jimmy Grosvenor-Sear, 18, of St Andrews Court, Newhaven, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. 
The offence took place at St Leonards Road, Eastbourne, on July 3. 
He was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £40 in compensation.
