Live music lock-in at Arndale for students

STUDENTS will be locked in at the Arndale Centre for an evening of live music, DJs and on the spot prizes.

As part of local freshers’ week, the town centre mall will be open to students between 7pm and 10pm on Thursday, September 27 with offers available from around 80 per cent of the shops.

One lucky student will even win a brand new iPad.

There are an estimated 7,000 students in and around Eastbourne taking in the University of Brighton and Sussex Downs College.

Students are being encouraged to log on to the Arndale’s website to keep up to date with the latest promotion, offer and entertainment news.

Centre manager Bill Plumridge said, “Education is an important part of our economy.

“Each year, new students arrive on the south coast to study and socialise in a wonderful environment.

“We’re hoping that this event will be very popular as we hope to make it an annual event.”
