Members of Eastbourne Lions Club visited Friston Children’s Ward at the Eastbourne District General Hospital to present a much needed piece of
equipment called a Dopplex, which will be used to scan the underside of children’s wrists to give information about their blood, including their blood pressure. Lion president, Phil Jagot and Community Services Committee member, Richard Cook presented the Dopplex to ward matron Liz Vaughan and Sister Julie Evans. Six-year-old patient, Danny King took interest in the presentation. While there the Lions also presented the ward with some cuddly monkeys.
