AN Eastbourne swing dance teacher has retained his crown after winning first place at the national Swingtastic West Coast Swing Championships.

Lee Bartholomew, 32, picked up the trophy in Edinburgh last weekend.

He had previously achieved first place at London Swingvitational event in 2010 and other modern jive titles.

West Coast Swing is the fastest growing partner dance in the UK and the Swingtastic competition was attended by hundreds of dancers from all over the world.

Lee runs West Coast Swing classes on Mondays at The Red Lion Pub, Lion Hill, Stone Cross.

The sessions take place between 8pm and 11pm and he has a new absolute beginners course starting on February 21.
