Eastbourne spine and hip patients now have a new service available to them via the NHS

The new partnership has been commissioned by the NHS to provide musculoskeletal services in East Sussex and has recently treated its first spine and hip patients at Horder Healthcare Eastbourne.

Clare Moors, pictured, was the first patient to be seen at the new clinic in Wartling Road.

The musculoskeletal service delivered by the Sussex MSK Partnership East, aims to transform care for patients suffering with joint, muscle and bone conditions across East Sussex.

Clare said, “I was really pleased with being able to have my appointment locally. The consultation really helped me understand the treatment options available to me and the care I received was great.”

Sussex MSK Partnership East, which is made up of four not-for-profit health organisations, Horder Healthcare, Brighton and Hove Integrated Care Service, Sussex Community NHS Trust and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, was awarded the contract to provide a new joined up, integrated patient centred service for people with musculoskeletal conditions in the area.

Brian Gibbs, extended scope physiotherapist for Sussex MSK Partnership East, said, “We are delighted to have held our first clinics at Horder Healthcare Eastbourne.

“We offer patients excellent streamlined care services from diagnosis to treatments which are closer to home.”
