WITH the summer holidays here, the NHS in Eastbourne is making sure locals and tourists alike know where to go for treatment - whether they be here on the Sunshine Coast or elsewhere in the UK.
The Eastbourne Station Health Centre opens 8am to 8pm, seven days a week including bank holidays for drop-in visitors while health bosses are also urging people to make use of NHS Direct by calling 0845 46 47.
Dr Andrew Foulkes, medical director at NHS Sussex, advised people to have a few things to hand, such as cream for wasp stings, sun protection, and pain killers and urged people not to forget to stock up on their prescription medicines if planning a trip.
He said: “We hope everyone enjoys the holidays but urge people to take care too. Plan ahead if you have a medical condition which needs managing, and make sure you have enough medicines.
“This will leave you free to relax over the summer break.”
