A petrol station assistant was robbed at knife-point – with the thief getting away with £200 in cash.
The Murco Service Station on the High Street was hit at around 7.30pm last night (Monday) after a man approached the 42-year-old employee waving a knife and demanding cash.
Detective Constable Sheila Nicholson said, “The victim is shaken by what has happened, but thankfully has not been injured during the robbery.”
The suspect is described as white, age 18 to 25, dark hair, full beard but with little growth on top lip and a thin face, possibly wearing a light blue top.
