A JORDAN lookalike is taking part in a charity fun run after seeing her mum battle against cancer.
Gabriele Randone, pictured right, is determined to raise money for Cancer Research UK at the Eastbourne Race for Life on June 3.
While her mum managed to overcome the illness, Gabriele says she saw enough to know she should do all she can to help make sure other people do not have to suffer in the same way.
The 25-year-old, who lives in Whitehill Close, Old Town, earned £500 a pop at the height of her Katie Price impersonations, and believes she will raise more cash in June 3 in her alternative persona.
Gabriele said this week, “When I found out mum had cancer it was horrendous. Thankfully she managed to beat it but it showed me how hard it is for people.
“I have wanted to do the Race for Life before but the last two times I was going to I got pregnant. This time I will definitely do it and am really looking forward to it.”
She can afford to plan ahead to race day. Gabriele had her third son, Alexander, three months ago, leaving her enough to time get into training and ready for the big day.
However, rather than pounding the streets in preparation, she says having three boys is exercise enough. “Samuel is five and Oscar is going through the terrible twos so they certainly keep me on my toes.
“I have to wait until they are all asleep before getting my exercise – but I will definitely be ready.”
Gabriele will be raising cash at Cophall Farm car boot sale this Sunday and anyone who wants to sponsor her can either pop along to the sale, or do so online at www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/gabrielerandone.
