PINK was the colour of the day at one hair and beauty salon in Seaford which helped to raise funds for charity.

Staff at Carole Electra, in Clinton Place, rallied around again for the event in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer and those that supported the day enjoyed pink drinks and pink cakes.

People could also get their nails painted pink and take part in a raffle and tombola.

The Cancer Research shop in Seaford also had a stall at the fundraiser to boost its charity’s coffers.

The salon was also supported by the company GHD, which gave balloons to the salon for the day. For every pair of pink GHDs sold, £10 goes to the charity.

So far a total of £330 has been raised for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Carole Tidy, owner of the salon, said, “It was really good. People were very generous.”
