Hot air balloon flights on hold at Eastbourne festival due to poor weather
Eastbourne's balloon festival has had its morning balloon flights cancelled due to poor weather.
The event from 11am until 10pm today and from 11am until 5pm on Sunday, is still going ahead, with numerous other attractions.
Balloons are next due to be launched (around 7pm) on Saturday and at dawn on Sunday, weather permitting.
In a Facebook message, organisers said a decision is still to be made on the ‘NightGlow’ session after dark, with hot air balloon fire burners ignited to the beat of the music from 9.20pm in the main arena.
It read: “Please note that the Flying Director will make a decision on the Night Glow @ 7pm.
“The fireworks will be at 9.30pm and the Festival site will close at 10pm.”
