A CHARITY which helps unwanted dogs is holding a fun day to raise some much needed cash and it has been inundated with support from local businesses.
South Coast Staffie Rescue is based in Horam and earlier this year had to stop taking in new dogs because of a lack of money. Things have improved and the charity is slowly starting to accept more animals. However, it is in desperate need of financial support and is hoping a dog show planned for September 30 will give it a boost. For more information see www.southcoaststaffierescue.org.uk or call 07702300246.
A spokesman for South Coast Staffie Rescue wanted to thank everyone who has come to their aid. “We sent an appeal to lots of people and businesses asking for donations towards to the dog show and have been overwhelmed by the response.
“There have been so many generous offers for raffle prizes and cakes. People have been very kind. I think they deserve recognition for their generosity.”
