Two keen gardeners were pleased to see a heart-shaped bush had blossomed in their Old Town garden – just in time for their Golden Wedding anniversary.
Sheila and Tony Ward, of Pashley Road, said the daisy bush (Olearia Macrodonta) had grown naturally into the shape without any pruning.
The couple celebrated their anniversary on Saturday (July 9).
They added, “The garden obviously wished to join in the celebrations. “
We had our family down for the weekend, and when our grandchildren looked out of the window in the morning and saw the ‘heart’ bush they were convinced it must have been magic.”
