Have your say on the future of Hailsham Town Council

Hailsham residents are being given the opportunity to have their say on the future of their town by Hailsham Town Council.

The survey, which can be found on the Hailsham Town Council website, www.hailsham-tc.gov.uk/thewayforward.html, enables residents and visitors to put forward their views on key activity in terms of business development and the revitalisation of the town in the next few years.

For people without internet access, arrangements can be made to post out surveys by contacting Hailsham Town Council on 841702. Anybody submitting a fully-completed survey form by October 26 will be entered into a draw to win £50.

Preliminary work carried out by Hailsham Town Council earlier this year highlighted a number of key objectives Hailsham needs to realise: economic revitalisation of the business community, protecting and enhancing the natural and built environment, effective and sustainable infrastructure, safety and security in the whole community and health and wellbeing of residents and visitors

The first draft of the Plan, entitled Hailsham: The Way Forward, can also be found

on the Town Council’s website.

Described by the Town Mayor Councillor Jeff Bentley-Astor as a “top priority for kick-starting the local economy of Hailsham”, it has a wide ranging remit and includes options that can be funded and practically delivered by the Town Council itself or in partnership with other local authorities during the course of the next few year
