A SUPER open garden event and coffee morning in Arlington raised £800 for the Hailsham Old Pavilion Society (HOPS).

The annual event took place on June 11 at Bates Farm and was hosted by John and Carolyn McCutchan.

Record numbers of people took the opportunity to wander around the lovely garden which was in full bloom.

Volunteers from the pavilion were kept busy serving refreshments and selling the delicious homemade cakes that are really popular at these events.

The plant stall and raffle were as busy as ever, with visitors keen to support the work of HOPS.

HOPS is always on the look out for new members and volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved to help support Hailsham’s film and live arts venue, contact Ray Beckwith on 845209.
