A certificate was presented to the Gynaecology Outpatients team at the DGH after members won the monthly staff award.
The whole team, both clinical and administrative, were nominated for working extremely hard following the recent changes to clinics to ensure patients were contacted and advised of the changes.

He also presented them with a certificate and a selection of luxury biscuits for the team to share.
Whilst the award was given to the whole team, individual nominations were also received for matron Dominique Gale, nurse practitioner Judy Andrews, clerk Wendy Fletcher and Colposcopy co-ordinator Janet Clarke.
Dominique was described as someone who ‘goes the extra mile to make new staff members feel welcomed to the department’, while nurse practitioner Judy was said to be ‘a very kind caring nurse who always makes the patient feel relaxed’.
Wendy was praised for ‘working very hard at making sure the clinics run well and being helpful to the nursing staff when they need anything administrative doing’ and Janet was praised for her friendly manner as well as ’working very hard at ensuring clinics run well’.
She was also said to be helpful to the nursing and clincial staff.
