Gym of the Year winners weigh in
Back in January the Eastbourne Herald ran our Gym Of The Year 2016 competition - and the winner is The Gym at Sovereign Harbour Retail Park.
The Gym, one of 75 gyms countrywide in the UK, has only been open since May 11 last year, but already has the highest customer satisfaction rate in The Gym Group.
The Gym is run by general manager James Smith and his assistant manager Niall Rhodes, both pictured holding the trophy and certificate. James has built up a team of personal trainers who can give you one to one advice and that extra push towards your fitness goals.
The personal trainers are pictured with James and Niall: Dario Sica, Kathryn Ryan, Callum Dunk, Umberto Massimino, Alex Maynard, Matthew Halls and Joe Burgess, plus there are two others in the team.
The Gym has the newest advanced hi-tech machines, with over 150 pieces of kit spanning over two floors, so there isn’t the waiting time between machines. Along with a bright and airy atmosphere overlooking the harbour, and modern funky decor, this is a trendy friendly place to work out.
Fees are the cheapest in town at £15.99 a month with a one off joining fee of £20. There are no contracts or tie-ins either which suits people with hectic lifestyles. The Gym is open 24 hours a day. For more details visit the website www.thegymgroup.com or pop in and see the team.
James said, ”I would like to thank all our members for voting for us so we could win this prize. It is thanks to the professionalism and friendliness of my team making our members welcome and happy that have helped to win this prestigious award. So a big thanks to everyone!”
As an extra thanks to his members, James is running a Bring a Friend introductory offer from March 21 to 25. Any member who introduces a friend to join, the friend will save 50% (£10) on the joining fee. Just bring this article along to get the offer during these dates.
Second place for the Gym of the Year competition went to City Gym in Furness Road, Eastbourne and third place went to Full Range Fitness at Chaucer Industrial Estate, Polegate.
Both runners up received a certificate from the team at the Herald.
