Gull rescued by Eastbourne firefighters

A seagull had to be rescued by firefighters yesterday (Sunday, July 19) after it became trapped on the roof.

Crews attended the scene in Seaford Road just after 11.50am to assist the RSPCA.

The bird had become trapped in netting on the roof and was freed half an hour later.
