One of the south coast’s biggest beer festivals returns to Eastbourne this autumn with tickets now on sale.from Thursday 10 – Saturday 12 October, with tickets now on sale.

The three-day festival returns after its record breaking 10th year at Eastbourne’s prestigious Winter Garden venue, running from Thursday, October 10 to Saturday, October 12 - and each year it is a sell out.

There will be over 150 real cask ales on tap, ciders & perries, world wines, international bottled beers and thirst quenching juices.

Last year’s festival saw a mouth watering array of British ales from local brews the ‘Star of Eastbourne’ and Beachy Head’s ‘Legless Rambler’ to a ‘Wobbly Bob’, ‘Grumpy Guvnor’ and the strong ‘Skull Splitter’, from Orkney.

A packed entertainment programme features two live music stages ranging from rhythm & blues to folk, pop & reggae, plus traditional pub games fun including Bar Skittles, Shove Ha’Penny, Toad-in-the-Hole and many more.

The annual festival is so popular the event has now become twice yearly, with an outdoor seafront festival held for the first time this May, proving popular with the Bank Holiday crowds.

Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism & Leisure, Cllr Carolyn Heaps said, “This is the ultimate weekend break to tantalise your tastebuds, enjoy some great musical talent, have a go at traditional pub games and soak up the atmosphere of this popular festival. After last year’s box office bonanza my advice is book up now before they’re all gone!”

Last year’s festival saw a record-breaking 4,400 visitors drinking 13,326 pints of ale, 2,800 pints of cider & perry, 1,236 glasses of wine and 1,680 international bottles of beer.

Drinkers can vote for their favourite brews in the hotly contested Beer Awards, with the overall winner put forward for the Great British Beer Festival in London.

Advance tickets range from £5.50 to £9 per session, including a free festival glass and tasting notes, with student and CAMRA member tickets from only £3 to £7.

Sessions run on Thursday 6 – 11pm, Friday 5.30 – 11pm, Saturday 11am – 4pm and 6 – 11pm.
