The story of the battle for power between Fat Sam and Dandy Dan is about to unfold in Herstmonceux.
Because the latest production from the village’s Young HATS is Bugsy Malone, the musical where all the gangsters and their molls are played by children.
And instead of real bullets they use splurge guns.
Set in 1929 in New York City, Bugsy Malone captures a flashy world of would-be hoodlums, showgirls and dreamers and all are played by young people.
The show is directed by Jo Stevens and musical direction is by Linda Thompson and the show promises to be just as entertertaining as the last few offerings from Young HATS.
Performances are on March 19, 20 and 21 at Herstmonceux Village Hall at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm matinee on the Saturday.
Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £5 for children.
They are available from Stevens and Carter Estate Agents (01323 832888) and Jo Carlton (07703 854535).
