Advanta’s Resident of the Month prize for June has been awarded to a fundraiser who has been scaling the heights for her chosen charity.

Jacqui Davidson, from Willingdon, successfully completed the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge in May.

The challenge involves climbing Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis all within 24 hours to fundraise for the local charity You Raise Me Up, which offers financial and emotional support to families who have lost teenagers and young adults.

Jacqui, who is the owner of Kids Curtain Company in Gorringe Valley Road, Willingdon, still finds time to compete in the Beachy Head Marathon and Moonwalk and helps raise funds for local charities.

The Resident of the Month Award was introduced to recognise unsung heroes in the local community and is jointly sponsored by Advanta Chartered Accountants and the Eastbourne Herald.

Yiotis Diomedou, from Advanta, was delighted to present Jacqui with the award for her enthusiastic fundraising achievements.

As part of her prize Jacqui will also receive a complimentary meal for two at top local restaurant Ridgways in Meads Village.
