The friend of a woman who lost her breast cancer battle at just 35 is hoping to raise money and awareness in her memory.
Zoe Kupfermann, pictured with her two daughters, was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 33. She sadly lost her battle two years later.
Her friend Rebecca Lovell is now trying to raise cash and breast cancer awareness among young people.
Rebecca said, “People are getting this so early in life and just don’t get checked or don’t know how or what to look for.
“It doesn’t matter how old you are, you need to check your body.
“More and more young people are losing the fight to cancer because it’s being found to late.
“I was a dear friend of Zoe’s, my aim is to spread awareness and raise as much as we can.
“I would like to make it to my £1,000 target.”
Rebecca works in Curry’s in Eastbourne Arndale Centre and she is running a raffle from the store.
There are David Lloyd passes, free Toni and Guy hair cuts, XBox games and Coffee Republic gift cards up for grabs.
Tickets are being sold for 25p each or £1 a strip in Curry’s. Alternatively, visit www.justgiving.com/RebeccaLovell1906/
Rebecca said, “We already have some fab prizes but I would love to hear from other companies who might be able to donate more prizes.
“A night in a hotel or a free meal out for two would be brilliant.”
All proceeds go to Cancer Research.
