Firefighters were called to Maywood Avenue at 5.15pm yesterday, October 9, a fire service spokesman said.
He said: “It was two domestic properties – it had spread to the roof.”
Gas and electric was believed to be involved in the blaze, which firefighters battled until 3am using breathing apparatus and the aerial ladder, the spokesman added.
He said crews returned to the scene at 7am to reinspect the site and a fire investigation is due to be carried out today.
